I really like that artwork, its got a very vintage feel... but im thinking you should try a different font other than comic sans. That's my 2 cents.
http://comicsanscriminal.com/ (http://comicsanscriminal.com/)
maybe "Agency FB" or "Bauhaus 93"? Both have a bit more retro theme that fits better with your artwork.

Cool, looks like Juno First! Great game...

Nice start, look forward to seeing this take shape!
I'm still a big fan of your "no slot cutter? no problem. use a hacksaw"
Always think of it when noobs ask about t-molding. ;D

Louis-
Those 2x4 MDF sheets are love. Plus, you can get ones in 1/4 inch to make templates.

Stay strong man, no games till complete. Its the only way... resist!

This is exactly my mentality until I get my project finished. I'm not getting a game near my cab until the paint is dry and the stickers are laid!

Awesome cab, what did you use the trim down the sheet metal?

Ya im doing a build right now where I was thinking of using sheet metal for the CP, never worked with the stuff before.. whats the thickness? Did you use a mallet to bend it?
-
Great work Louis!
I like the sheet metal CP.
About Lowes: They will cut a full sheet of MDF for you.
I usually get it cut into 2 half sheets.
The Lowes in BG does not have 1/2" MDF (Last time I checked Home Depot didnt either, Im glad they got some now).
I did find some 1/2" MDF at Lowes in Franklin, Ky, which is about the same distance for me.
Have you found any 5/8"? I searched online for about a 75 mile radius of Russellville and cant find any.
You'd think Nashville would have it but last time I checked no one (lowes, home depot) had any.

Im a designer that works for a company that uses a ton of metal, so in my spare time i'm designing ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- out of sheet metal all the time, the one bonus is that I can have it cut out on our plasma table and then formed pretty well to within my specs, all for free! Gotta love the perks! I usually use 14ga, its still light enough to be practical, yet stiffens right up as soon as you bend it.

I'm loving the classic lines of this cabinet, you've done a great job on the metal cp, and that home made coin door is a great idea :applaud:
-
I like your coin door idea, please turn your back so I can steal it.
Edit: changed line to like.

Somebody clearly failed geometry. That there is a rectangle.
Looks great man. Well done marquee. The whole package is coming together nicely.

Looks better than expected! You need to slow down though, I think you started your project after me, but you are already light years ahead! I think i'm being too careful though. :lol

That's definitely my kind of machine. I would love to sit down and play some DDP on that baby.
I think it needs a bezel graphic though to go with that side art.

Very cool! THe picture is great, looks like it was shot in a movie theater ;D

You don't happen to have the measurements for your cab do you? I would love to build one like this for my kids! Very cool design and I like that's not too big.
Thanks!
-
Very nice cabinet!
-
Sweet cabinet! Love the simplicity of it and the clean lines. the control panel looks cool.
One tiny thing I noticed (and it is a tiny thing) is the screws for the joystick. Could you not use countersunk screws? Does the bottom left screw rub on your hand or fingers? Just a tiny thing really but one which would bug me if it did rub.
