Title: D-Sub connectors
Post by: Kane on September 22, 2003, 08:29:43 am
Has anyone used these to make your control panel swapable? I was gonna pick up some 25 pin connectors but couldn't find any at the 3 radio shacks I went to. If you bought yours online can you tell me where you got them from...Thanks

I took a 25 pin extension cable, cut it in half, and voila! Instant pre-wired connectors!

Radio Shack should carry them, but their electronic parts inventory seems to be dwindling as they put their efforts into selling cell phones and Compaq computers.

I use it for my panel and its great IMO, switching takes just a few secs!
Since I live in Sweden chances are you wont have any use for my links ;)
Couldnt Radio Shack just order some for you?
Oh yeah, did you check the obvius? www.radioshack.com ?  ;)

If you're gonna order online, try http://www.mouser.com.  Sign up for one of their free catalogs while you're there.

I use a 25pin and a 9 pin to swap my control boards (keyboard encoder / Playstation controllers).  I was able to pick mine up at Radio Shack without any problems.  In my experience the website is much harder to find things in than the store.
