UPDATE: I have managed to find a place for the 42" monitor for another week (until the 27th-ish). It will be in Monterey, or I can deliver it to you if you are at least willing to pay me for gas/time/the anal prolapse I will get after moving it this many times.
I know this should go in the free thread, but I've been trying to give this thing away for about a week and the guy who was going to come pick it up can't make it, so it really, really needs to go now--as in, by tomorrow (Friday) at 5pm. If you even have a friend in the area who would be able to stash this for someone else PLEASE let them/me know and we can try to work something out. It's a Mitsubishi MegaView Pro 42" (AM-4201R) in good condition. More info here (http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=39784).
Please help save this from going to a local electronics surplus/recycling place!

I'm not even in the right continent, but feck me what a monitor!

I was able to find a home for it, so I'm afraid it's no longer available. That said, for anyone interested in these kinds of monitors in the future--they're not as rare as you might think. Keep an eye out on craigslist, as most of them seem to be in the hands of people just using them as TVs or big computer monitors and will be willing to part with them for cheap...and be willing to do some driving--you gotta want them. :) (I drove to Phoenix and back *twice* over a few days when I saw that another popped up when I was fetching mine!)

That said, you're generally going to see them in medium to large cities. I'm sure they're all over the place - but finding the old video codger who has one, who's willing to pull it out of the basement, etc......
