Title: Emulators that don't support joystick?
Post by: fantoboy on January 19, 2012, 12:57:53 pm
I recently switched from using a logitech rumblepad 2 with xpadder to a 360 MADCATZ TE arcade stick.  I have a hyperspin setup with lots of emulators and pc games.  I am having an issue where SSFIV is recognizing the joystick and xpadder together, so all inputs are doubled.  I'm thinking of eliminating xpadder and just using it as a joystick.  It's been years since I set most of my games up.  Are there emulators or games that you can think of where I will have an issue setting them up because they only support keyboard?  Or am I better off trying to figure out a solution for SSFIV instead?  Suggestions?

Just out of curiosity, what is SSFIV?  Don't quote me on this but you should just get rid of Xpadder because it is doubling up your inputs ( you only want one set of inputs).  Most games with MAME, at least have the controls configured for a joystick with buttons, but that is only MAME.  And if you want something  a little more newer ( N64 or Dreamcast), you just need to configure you controls for the controller the emulator is using, but not each specific game.  Hope this helps.
