Has anyone played Pacman championship dx on ps3 or xbox 360? I can’t get over how much fun this game is. It's like they took classic pacman and threw in some crack, I love it!
The different mazes and eating a line of 20 or 30 ghost is fun as hell, It’s also cool how it goes into slow motion when you’re about to be killed. It's also nice to have all of the customization. You can pick the look of the mazes characters and select the bmg track for each round. I wish they would release this in disc form or for the 3ds. They already released pacman championship edition on pacman and galaga dimensions but it’s just not as fun.

I think that was the first game I downloaded for the PS3. It is quite fun - even though I don't play it as much as I used to.

I love it- the pinnacle of an arcade revivial, in my opinion. Kind of an on-the-fly puzzle game, to find the best path through the sleeping ghosts. My upright MAME was almost a Pac Dx cab with a 360 inside.

I managed to rescue my PS3 from my Mom who adopted it to use Netflix (I bought her a Wii instead), and I managed to get my 2IN1 working with the X Arcade. The Game play is MUCH better than the Xbox 360 version. You have to play it on a 4 way arcade stick to get the highest scores IMO. Control pads are great, but they do cramp up your hands real quick.
What scores are we clocking up on Pacman DX?

What are the gameplay differences between the 360 and PS3?
-
Dave and Busters had this game put into a gigantic custom cabinet with 4 player pedestals and everything.
I think that might have been Pac Man Battle Royale, a multiplayer focused game (which I would love to play sometime).

Battle Royale is fun. I played it at Gameworks a few weeks ago.

The Pacman CE DX has a free demo on the PS3, not sure about xbox. I have had it as a demo for a while and love it.
I haven't pulled the trigger on the real game because I was hoping it would be released for the PC so I could put it in my cabinet. Nothing. :-\

Meh, seems like the same game to me. I've played both. Oh well, I guess the little ghosts twinkle different or something.
They are totally and completely different man, but I won't get into one of those arguments with you.
I haven't played it in a long while. It is good but once you've done all of the achievements there isn't much to do.
I wish they would release it on the pc though.... seems dumb to keep such a pc/mame cab friendly game on consoles, where you have to deal with those awful controllers.
-
Love this game. It's almost imposible to play with a joystick hooked up though!

Get yourself an X Arcade Howard. Xbox 360 and PS3 rocks on 4 way games. ;D

Did you mean to day "without a joysitck"? On faster speeds a 4-way seems to help, but I will say that I never expected a Pac game to play so well with the analog stick, they did a good job on the controls.
The Game play is MUCH better than the Xbox 360 version.
I am also curious on this... how is it better? I love the 360 version but will inevitably get a PS3, might have to re-purchase DX if it is a better experience on that console.

But I'll add that playing it with the 360 controler hours on end, and getting really good with the way it controls with the thumb pad, maks it hard to play with a joystick. (for me anyway) It's like it's way too hard to corner at faster speeds! Love the game though. What are some of the gamer tags out there? I would love to see where I rank with the rest of the community.

It is faster and fluid an experience than on the 360. I just bought the PS3 for Christmas and I am getting to grips with it (the controller is pants) and I am finding that games that I have on the 360 look and play better on the PS3 (demo). PAC-MAN Championship got bought in a sec, and is currently playing on the X Arcade via the 2-1. I didn't realize how much the PS3 is more cab friendly than the Xbox360. That PS3 cab idea I have is getting to the planning stage. ;D All my FPS is still on the 360 (controller is great), but arcade games are definitely being bought for the PS3.

I have it on 360, top score is 1.4-1.5mil I think (5 Min Championship II Mode). I need to find a way to get a 4 way stick for 360 though, sucks playing with the controller :(
