Game specific question in mame 0.144 - qbert (my rom set is .142)
Sounds that used to work don't, starting with the "coin drop" sound. When the player is moving around the grid - no "move" sounds.
Seems the only the sounds that play are the ones in the samples file (the 2 listed above aren't in the samples file).
Everything seems to work in .143u9
I searched all the whatsnew.txt files at mamedev.org for "qbert" - this is all I found:

I had the same issue. Interestingly enough, I made a 'samples' folder and put the Q*bert sounds in it, and it worked!

Yep, Q*Bert's sound is broken in mame0144, it's been reported on Mametesters. It's actually the reason I didn't bother with 144 and am waiting for 145.
