Download irfanview. It allows you to shrink files. Very good utility.
Irfanview (http://www.irfanview.ca/)

Yeah, I downloaded irfanview, but I couldn't use it because it required me to buy something to use it. An less i'm missing somthing here? I,m not interested in buying anything just to post a few pictures. There has to be an easyer way!

Have done this one in a pinch: Right-click the photo or photos and select "send to mail recipient". Windows will prompt you to re-size the photo. You may also want to check CNET downloads for a free utility that can do it.

Even MS Paint resizes easily.

www.faststone.org (http://www.faststone.org) has software you can use for free. I use FastStone Image Viewer 4.6 but, they also have FastStone Photo Re sizer 3.1 both programs are freeware( non commercial use) .

If you downloaded IrfanView and it required you to purchase something, you got a something that isn't the real irfanview.
Go here
http://www.irfanview.com/ (http://www.irfanview.com/)
The real thing is completely free. No strings, no gimmicks. But there are repackaged versions that will say you need to pay money for it. Those are a scam.

Hey guys, this is frustrating! But here what its doing. When I try and load an attachment, its saying the file is to big. Some of the pics are as big as 5,400KB and it says they can't be any larger than 2048KB. How do I change that? I don't get it. It's funny I can build cabs, but I can't figure out how to do something as simple as posting pics!

I tried the download link for irfanview and it is a totally free download. If using irfanview just load the image you want to change then choose image resize/resample and choose the size you want. Then save the image again to another name so you can identify it for upload.

OK, So I was able to download Irfanview and re-size the pictures. Now I'm gonna try and load them up in project announcements. Thanks for your help guys! Hope this works.

You could try Google's Picasa 3. It's free and is nice for re-sizing and compressing photos.

Just use Imageshack.
