Title: Metal Slug on mame? Doesn't start

Hi! I can't get Neo Geo Metal Slug to start.
I have a neogeo.zip in the MAME roms-folder. Still nothing!

From hyperspin it loads, then I'm just back in HyperSpin.

What's wrong?

usually when that happens, you are missing ROMS (part/whole).

Best way to check for sure is to verify you ROMS (mslug)


you can type

mame mslug

and you see a message if there is something wrong with the ROM/game (missing)

Seems like there's something wrong. I have downloaded 3 different versions, same error on all games.
"sfix.sfix not found" and checksum error on 000-lo.lo.

Help!

Check the mame faq on mame.net

(pssst... it's probably that you didn't download the neogeo bios!)

I had an older one i guess!

Opened the zip, and renamed sfix.sfx to sfix.sfix - works!
It's still telling me that the checksum is wrong. Guess it's expecting something newer.
