Makes sense why the original has been on clearance. 

I like the new Core version.  The arcade look of the original was neat at first but I'd rather have something that is easy to put away when not in use.

iCade Jr. isn't out yet, site just says coming soon
I really want to see what kinda joystick is in there
havent seen anything on their NES style game pad (http://www.thinkgeek.com/product/ecea/?srp=4) either it's listed at think geek as coming this year

I think the concept is a good idea and it would be a successful product if done correctly.
