Title: mame compiler 64
Post by: Kangum on January 07, 2012, 12:22:57 pm
i compiled mame 144s source using mame compiler 64. i unchecked all options except 64 bit and applied the first 144u2 difference file. everything compiled but i think i got 1 error but it still completed the compile and made an mame64.exe. i accidently closed the window before i saw what the error was but since it was techically not a "clean" compile does that mean there is a possibility that some games may not work because of the red text / error i saw. if so anyone know why i would get an error in the first place. it compiled for like 2 hours before i saw the flash of red text.

Try it again. Play some games while waiting.

yea im going to try again. except on a different machine. the machine i compiled it on was a amd E-450 cpu. so it took a long time to complete. I will try it on another machine it should complete faster. I dont see how the error would change though as there is nothing really to screw up.

wow 20 minutes to compile on my other machine. compiling on an amd-450 is not recommended unless you want to wait over 2 hours. this time setup mame 64 with just duel core and 64 bit option with mame0144s source. all official difference files patched THEN patched hi score and got 0 errors this time. it helps if you follow the directions.

mame compiler 64 is the best!
