Title: Setting up Ridge Racer for 360 pad??
Post by: lettuce on January 07, 2012, 09:44:29 am
Im trying to play ridge racer on my 360, with the gas pedal set to the right trigger and the brake set to the left trigger of the pad. But have noticed that the gas pedal always seems to be active as when i start the race the car is constantly reving, and then it just seems to die. Has anyone managed to get a 360 pad working with this game. If so please tell me your button config and analog settings

Isamu had a similar problem with his pedals in Rave Racer and it turned out
that the pedal needed to be calibrated in the service menu of the game.

The Service button is set to F2 by default in MAME, there is probably also a Test button that comes into play.
Look at the button mappings in MAME to see what they are.

The test button and other buttons that the game had (view, start, etc) will be used to navigate the service menu and select stuff, but I can't tell you which button does what.
