Title: Multiple Wirings to an I-Pac
Post by: doubt on September 19, 2003, 05:32:57 pm
I just placed an order for my I-Pac 4. I'm building a 3 sided cocktail cabinet w/ 4 sets of controls (2 sets on the horizontal side).

I will have a 3 different 1player & 2player buttons... 1 on each of the 3 sides of the table.

Will it be possible to connect all 3 of my 1player buttons to a single channel on the I-Pac in an effort to save channels?

I don't care which 1player button registers the key, so I don't mind them all being connected to the same keyboard press. Am I making any sense?

Thanks,

Yes, you can connect more than one button to an ipac input.  Just need to close the circuit somehow :)

Here's a quick and messy MS-Paint made wiring diagram.

As you can see, when any of the 1P buttons are pushed, a circuit between the Gnd and 1P Start sockets is completed. Same for the 2P.
