Title: X2VGA still for sale?
Post by: MrDwyzane on December 28, 2011, 09:27:47 pm
Looking to possibly build a cab. I got three Xboxes laying around the house collecting dust, and my wife is threating their extinction. So I'd like to try and do something with them. One has an Xecuter3, another softmodded, and another never touched. I also have a 19" 4:3 LCD monitor laying around, but I know I'm gonna need a converter. In the past I read about X2VGA , but it doesn't seem to he available anymore. So with that said, is this product even available anymore , and if not anyone have a recommended product?

got an HD kit for the xbox?

there are people who have hacked the video chip to display VGA right out of the xbox (solder maybe 10 wires), maybe that's an option.

Yeah, I have an HD kit. I've looked at tutorials on how to make my own cable, but it requires a certain chip to solder as well. I ordered one of these a while back, and soon realized my soldering skills are not going to allow me to hit the spots on a chip the size of my fingertips. Hell, I don't even know where the chip is at now. Probably lost amongst the monthly "Clean my husbands crap out" deals my wife likes to have.
