i didn't want to come right out and say it, but i was actually thinking along the same lines.  :laugh2:

I actually chopped up a real golden tee cabinet and made a pedestal cabinet. made a mount from the "monitor" (42" plasma) out of a 4x4 steel post and a 1/4" plate of steel. easy peasy!
