As the topic says, what have you bought or are going to buy for your GF's and/or wifes (for those who have multiple  )?
I, myself, have bought her a new iphone 4 (not S) 8gb white, and some pyjamas, gloves and a "$20 itunes card" so she can stock up on apps for her new iphone.
And yeah, we both got a new clothes dryer 2 weeks ago. Kinda like a pre-xmas gift to our selves as we where fed up with having the house full of clothes airdrying (family of 4, got two kids of 1,5 and 4 years).

Thats cool, Im also getting the GF some pajamas, she wants some of the ones that have the feet on em. They are frekaing expensive though, kinda lame but whatever, thats what she wants. I also got her some earrings from a fellow BYOAC member, so those should be cool. Oh man. Im not looking forward to getting to that stage where a dryer is a pre christmas gift to myself :lol
My GF also likes wine, but Im retarded when it comes to that. Anyone have any suggestions on what I could get her?

My GF also likes wine
That's pretty vague... white wine, red wines? Know what regions she likes? California? New Zealand?
-
Lots of tasty wine in my neck of the woods (nor cal) But red vs white is the first thing to pin down...Then you can think about things like sweet, dry, tanic, oak, etc.
Lately I'm on a Zin kick, Smooth and flavorful...

Just get her some Dan Akroyd's Crystal Head Vodka. Nothing says Merry Christmas more than an accurate rendering of a human skull filled with vodka. ;D
In Seriousness, if you are not a big wine drinker yourself, I would just go to a real wine shop where the people there will really know their wine, and get a recommendation in the price range you give. Get a wine that the they can give some interesting facts about, and then you can just repeat that info to the GF. It makes it sound like you put a lot of thought into the wine.
-
I might suggest including a food paring with the wine, chocolate or truffels or apples and cheese...
-
I got her pearl jam tickets a month ago for her and a friend. I dunno what she got me but I bet it's something music related.
-
wine is cool for birthdays and alike, but for christmas you should hunt down some Aquavit.
Just a little protip from a Norwegian :D

What does she like, and how much do you want to spend?
Figure that out and then you can walk into a decent wine shop and look for that type of wine in those amounts, and then ask the wine guy what's good. If you want to go all out, go to where they have the expensive stuff and drop a couple hundred on an Opus 1 or a bottle Crystal and she'll be pleased.
As for mine:
- Tim Tebow Jersey (which she has already worn)
- Kindle File which I've already setup, loaded some stuff, and put back in the box and personally think is awwwwsome!
- Couple movie posters for our gameroom featuring the movies that were the inspirations for our two daugher's names (Thinking this one gets me major points)
Did not frame the prints however, as I'm smart enough to know that I would not choose the right frame. :)
-
Really good wine does not have to be expensive.
-
Thanks for all your isnight guys! As far as I know, she likes sweet stuff, not so much on the dry side. She really likes 2 buch chuck, the shiraz and noveau ones? I think those are them.
That sounds like a little more than I would like to spend PBJ but thanks nonetheless. I dont think she has been that good this year. ;)
Vigo, the sad thing is, around where I live, the only good "wine store" is bevmo. The other good places are downtown, and Im busy until Christmas, so I wont be able to get down there before they close. Think Bevmo will have something decent?
Knave, she doesnt like merlots, because they are too dry, but she likes some other reds. She doesnt like port. Like I mentioned above, she likes the sweet whites, but nothing TOO sweet, like those dessert wines.

Got my wife a Toshiba Thrive 10.1 inch tablet. Came with a $50 GC from Best Buy.
She's gonna be mad for this. Credit card bill only shows for about $100. What she doesn't know is I had $65 in GC from previous Xmases, and another $250 in cash that I've been saving up.
(got two kids of 1,5 and 4 years).
1, 5, and 4 years? That's three kids in my book. You don't like acknowledging one of them?
-
I got her BF3 for the PS3.
She doesn't have a PS3 ;D
-
I got mine a blender.
-
Kindle Fire
-
I gonna get them BOTH Christmas Cards :applaud:
-
Tiffany bracelet, bunch of crap from The Body Shop, and a farting Domo Kun.
What is a Domo Kun?
-
Some effed up Japanese turd monster. At least that's what it looks like to me. It became one of those internet things a while back.

This is a pretty exciting Christmas for me. It's the first in like four years that my wife and I didn't decide to more-or-less forgo presents for each other cos we were too poor. So this is gonna be a pretty big Christmas. Got my wife a Sony Nex 5 camera and an 8 GB Eye-fi pro card. Santa's bringing her a Wacom tablet that does both pen input and multi-touch (so it can act like an Apple magic trackpad). And my daughter "got" her some super sexy knee-high boots.
One thing that really sucks is that her parents are usually pretty generous with us for Christmas, but the box they sent this year got lost in the mail. Her mom sent two boxes USPS on the same day and one of them arrived nearly two weeks ago. The other (the one with almost all the presents in it) is still nowhere to be seen. So that's kind of a bummer.

My missus is getting a new 14MP digital camera and a good pair of Winter boots. (She's a delivery driver and wants to keep her toes nice and warm).
@ Mikezilla.
On the Wine front try to find a Mosel Riesling, (White, German, Medium sweet). Make sure its Mosel (None of that Blue Nun Stuff). I think she will like it. I know I do. Here are a few to look for and should be in stock.
Loosen "L" Riesling '08 $12
Mozelle Sweet Riesling '10 $10
Bex Riesling '08 $8

Awesome, thanks so much Drnick. Do they sell those at Beverages and More? I appreciate the assist!

Anyone else giving a shocker? That's a present not soon forgotten.
Shocker like in buying a tiny bottle of Chanel No.5 without asking how much it is first?
I say, if you ask how much a thing is - you cannot afford it. Chanel is definitely a game changer in that respect. :o

That's awesome. I wish Santa would bring me one of those.
-
A pair of roller blades. She's always wanted them but never had anywhere to use them, now we have a massive undercover concrete area only minutes from the house. That and a few other small things she dropped hints about.
-
Life.
as in, I promise not to kill anybody this holiday season. :badmood:

Yeah . . . I'm pretty excited about it myself, actually. Not the pen-input. My wife's a graphic designer, but I'll never use the pen functionality myself. But I was living with my sister for a while and she has an iMac with a magic trackpad and I really grew to prefer it to a standard mouse.
