Hopefully someone can help me here.
I've been thru the documentation and the daphne website with no help, here's what I get.
I'm running Dragons Lair through Daphne with the mpeg's downloaded and uncompressed from Mamefans. I've got my OS setup correctly with the .ocx files and am loading through Daphneloader. I've gotten it to load and run through the mpeg layering, and then I get the attract "trailer"
"Dragons Lair, where you become yadda yadda..."
I can play, pause and skip to the end of this, but cannot seem to start a new game.
What am I doing wrong here? I had two CRC errors unpacking the .rar files from Mamefans, are the vobs not matching up with what Daphne expects, or am I doing something else wrong?
Thanks for any help.

This might sound silly, but are you sure you're pressing the correct keys? I had the same problem once; turned out my keyboard config had gotten hosed somehow. Re-configured and away we went! :)

Thanks, but I checked that.
I even re-configed everything just in case my I-pac was sending a signal that was unrecognized.
I've set up daphne and the rom on a second computer as well and get the same results.

It sounds almost certain that there is a coruuption in the mpeg's that you downloaded or the framefile. The best way is to buy the Dragons lair dvd-rom and use the dvd2daph program to extract the mpegs. It makes sure that the framefile created is in line with the structure of the mpegs and it is leal way to obtain them. If you had a crc error in extracting the mpegs they are definitely corrupt and you will not be able to use them. I have heard that the mpegs on mamfans are incomplete more often than not.

Are you running from DaphneLoader?
Do you have the Mpeg Seek test button highlighted?
Is the game playing or just the Mpeg?
Good luck

Running from Daphne.
I'll check the Mpeg seek button (at work now)
Its just the mpeg with Daphne's (I assume) overlay (i.e. press button one to start, button 2 to pause, u/d/l/r/ to skip or step in the mpeg).

If you have the options to pause, start, etc. as you say, they you are using the Mpeg seek test. Uncheck the box in DaphneLoader.
