I got my package with UltraStiks today! They work great and I like the feel of them a lot. I have a few things I need to figure out before I can put the entire machine together (hopefully will be completed today), but the only one I am having real difficulty with is:
-I reinstalled windows, found my motherboard model and downloaded drivers, however I still get no audio. I do have the volume control now, but no sound and device manager shows a question mark with an exclamation point next to "Audio Device on high definition audio bus" under "Other Devices." The sound was working perfectly before I reinstalled XP.
Thanks for all the help everyone has given me and for putting up with all my questions! I have learned a lot about computers in the last couple of weeks!

Is that question mark in the sound device area or under system devices? If it is under system devices you might still be missing some needed motherboard drivers. If it is in the sound and gameng area you are probably missing some of the sound driver install.

It is under "Other Devices" which also has a question mark

Problem solved!!! I had to uninstall and reinstall an older driver. I can't wait to have this up and running!!!
Last night I was planning on picking up some cheap computer speakers, but a friend of mine gave me a discount on some speakers, so I got pretty good 2.1 speakers. Donkey Kong sounds awesome through the subwoofer! I know it is not true to the original sound, but I think it's great.

I was going to suggest that! I had the same problem with my Windows 98 system.
Those speaker mean that an integrated jukebox would sound nice... Just sayin'!
