Title: Anyone tried Maximus with 144u2 romset?
Post by: jimmy2x2x on December 12, 2011, 06:20:09 am
Im not sure if maximus has a maximum number of roms it can support per game list, but it does not like the full set of 144u2 mame roms

In the main list of all roms it will display them all up to the letter L then loop back to the beginning of the list about 30 times before eventually reaching M

Also certain games will not launch (DoDonPachi Dai-Ou-Jou for example) when you add it to your favourites from the main list.

Can anyone confirm please?

I really wish this FE was updated ;(

I have solved this ugly issue (still there in .145) by creating mame.lst from RomLister using the following:

In the -find text, in the section that says something like this:
!('BIOS' | casino | minigames | mature)

just add "Electromechanical" like this:

!('BIOS' | casino | minigames | mature | Electromechanical)

Thanks to Jeff (RomLister coder)

I noticed the same behavior with regard to the game list going back to "0" after paging down by letter past the letter L - I found a workaround by paging down by page instead of letter once I get to L, then once I make it to
M, I can page down again. I figure it's just a bug - it's a shame that it will probably never get fixed :(

Aye, pretty ugly bug but the above workaround is fine for me, don't want to see useless mechanical games in my list anyway.
