Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has connected these configurations:
1) Happ rotary joystick (not optical) + Ultimarc Rotary Interface (USB)
The rotary stick cables have a brown wire on the left and purple wire on the right. But the ultimarc interface doesn't indicate which end the brown or purple wires should connect to (ie the side of the board with the USB connector or the opposite side).
2) TurboTwist push pull spinner (Master) + MiniPac Opti USB
Both the interface and spinner have a female connector. Is there an adapter somewhere that I can buy, or is there a diagram somewhere showing how to splice the wires together?
Also, the push/pull spinner has a black wire coming out of it. Where is that supposed to connect to -- is that a ground wire?
Thanks,
Jason

As for the rotary joystick, I didn't get the Ultimarc interface, but I can tell you that the purple wire is the "common" wire, and brown is position 1, red is 2, orange is 3, etc... Assuming that all the interface is doing is checking which number wire is currently selected, it won't do any harm if you hook it up backwards. It just won't work. You could also try looking at the picture on Andy's website to see if you can tell based on the colors as to which way is right. Looks like all the solid colors are on the end furthest from the USB port, and the white w/color are on the end closest to the USB port.
