Title: Help!!! pc/360/kvm switch/hacked joysticks
Post by: MAME TIME on December 05, 2011, 05:08:37 pm
hey Guys i need some help im at the end of my build but this last configuration is holding me back, have a mk4 cab with a xbox360 and a mame pc, i have a kvm switch to go back and forth between them and im using 2 hacked street fighter 4 pads(USB) which are identical, my problem is how do i get the pc to have pad1 as player 1 and pad2 as player2, because when i reboot the pc or switch to the 360 and back pad1 at times will be detected as player 2 and vice versa, im trying xpadder and joy2key, maybe im missing something, is there a way to set 1 pad as a primary?? any help will be great thanks

in windows xp, go to control panel, controllers, click on the 1p pad and then click on "make this the preferred device"  It will always be player one.

Neither.  I am focusing on MAME at the moment, and MAME recognizes the joypads as joysticks, and when I use my console emus, I use other xbox 360 pads and have it all set up through gameex

hmmmm i just staged another pc with the kvm and 2 xbox wired controllers and its works as it should, maybe a driver issue on the other terminal, im sure it shouldn't be any different with the street fighter 4 fight pads compared to the 360's

i use the wired sfiv pads, and don't have that issue.  I just went into the control panel like I said, and it works fine.
