Title: linux with horizontal issue.

wells gardner 25k7193
horizontal shift. this monitor was fine when it was connected to the pcb midway golf game.

puppy arcade install..

Adjust the horizontal position control on the monitor?  It's normal to need to tweak some settings when changing input signals.

If you really feel like changing it on the PC side, you can do so, but it can be a bit painful.  You have to modify the modeline to move the image.  xvidtune will help you tweak things and give you the numbers you need, then change xorg.conf.

when i do try to shift the lines become all crazy.. that is the only position it allow me to put it on that is visible.

so i will need to modify the xorg file.. now what should i place in this file.. I am fairly new to linux

and where can i download xvid tune for puppy arcade.. thanks alot. this is the closest i have come to installing this thing for my husband. it :) it his xmas present. that this kicking this ibm engineers AXX

okay  i ran it from the terminal on my emachine laptop.. although it was not tuneable..

hmm I have an NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 pro agp card..
i will run this on the machine see if it works.. now can i modify the xorg file on a dif monitor
after i get all the setting from xvid
