I was just browsing around some sites and came upon this. Hope this can help someone out! ;D http://www.dealextreme.com/p/repair-parts-replacement-4-ways-red-ball-arcade-joystick-with-4-switch-37485 (http://www.dealextreme.com/p/repair-parts-replacement-4-ways-red-ball-arcade-joystick-with-4-switch-37485)

Just curious as to what makes that an amazing deal?
-
10 dollars free shipping = amazing haha just saying ;D
-
Decent price. Not sure what is all that "amazing" about it. You can get a Happ super or a "Zippyy"(extra y for extra zip!) stick or a "Roundhouse" stick from GroovyGameGear.com for the same price.
Granted this does not include shipping, but these are from a reputable seller...
Super:

"Zippyy":

Here's a semi-related question:
Is it possible to replace the shaft of a bat-top Happ competition stick with a ball-top, like the one that comes with the Zippyy?
-
hmmm sounds possible but I dont know :dunno
-
I believe so. The GGG SmoothSticks are Happ Competition joysticks with different handles. Stands to reason that the Supers should be alterable.
-
Actually, These guys have just that! They sell them for $20.95 each. :o No sure how to do it though. That is a matter better left to more experienced members...

those are cool not worth 20$ though :lol
-
Free shipping is what makes DX very affordable. The wait time though is rather long so order way before you need the part or parts.
-
id order in advance 2 weeks isnt that long
-
---smurfy--- Chinese knock-offs, considering the site. Avoid.
-
I'd have to agree. I would rather pay $1 more, and purchase from a reputable vendor, than get a slightly better deal on an iffy Chinese knock-off.

Those joysticks are very poor quality, and cost less than $3 from Welink.
-
yes link please ;D

We need a link from Welink.
I would expect that direct purchasers get better prices than web purchasers.
I know that the emails I get from Fanny give me better prices than I could get from the Excellentcom website.
-
Fine, cheffo, we get it. You've got a huge collector penis that gets you back room deals direct from Shanghai. :laugh2: :laugh2:
.

I'm just wondering the point of a "you can get that for $3" post that doesn't provide any actual information on where to get them.
Sorry Jim, the only point I was making is that there may not be a link.
Anybody can get the same deals from Fanny direct ... they just aren't available on the website.
:dunno
-
if anyone knows cheaper joysticks please post links here :D
-
Sadly, welink's site is broken for me right now.
Microsoft VBScript 涥q~ ~ '800a01a8'
Bݭn: 'source.selectSingleNode(...)'
/e/ptxwebstore_customize/u_specific_style.asp, C32
I think that the point may need to be reinforced about the quality ... I'll take Q*Bert's word over Jim's for anything to do with vids (pins might be different) ... and I actually have a set of these sticks, so I can take my own word as well.
-
Yup I get the same code and it also tells me it would run better in IE :dunno

Yep. The price through Excellent Com is $3.80, ordering through Crystal is $3.00
Contact: crystal@welink.cc
In regards to quality, they start out OK, but within a short time, the stick will become very loose and worn feeling and the switches become less responsive. They might be ok for a home-use multicade, but that's about it.
