Googled "clrmamepro sort vertical", and found this: Vertical / Horizontal Rom Sorter Script (http://www.thepinnyparlour.com/download.html).

Use RomLister to generate batch files?

yup!  easy stuff in romlister.
make a list of vertical only, output your list as a batch file, run batch file in your roms folder to move 'em.
