I have many emulators installed (including Mame). Everything work fine for weeks suddenly all my MAME gamelists show up as the filter settings (control, genre, manufacturer...etc). I don't know what I accidently changed in the options. Any ideas?
Thanks

Have you tried a different layout? Also, I'm not sure I understand, a screenshot would be great if you can make one.

sounds like you activated one of the default text boxes in your layout complete with default content. you can turn it of and on via the objects menu of the MaLa layout editor (pic below)

or you can select the text element and change it to reflect other text you might want, do that by right clicking the text box and selecting "properties"
Nevermind I re-read your post.... I'll try to recreate your issue to see if I can figure out.

right click while Mala is running to bring up options/configuration
go to game list tab and go to Mame
check all your gamelists and make sure the "sort by" field is set to "name"
see if this fixes anything

Open mala, go to a game list and hit 2 on your keyboard, if you have a keyboard, whatever the "menu open" button is set to on your machine.
That should bring up the "main menu" window.
Select game list and make sure browse is set to NO.
I had a similar issue earlier today.
I had just accidently changed the game list setting to yes.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately I just started from scratch a week ago. I will keep this in mind if it happens again :D
