Hi folks. Im about to buy paint, order marquee, CPO. Last step is settling on the color scheme. I have worked out a couple, but I'd like to get some impartial input from those, like yourselves, with good taste ;) So what do you say? Give me your opinion/feedback?

Based on nothing else but a quick glance,
image 1 (blue/green) is more pleasing/inviting to my eyes.

Top one, with the green sides. Can't wait to see progress on this project!
-
Top one. Not enough contrast between colors in the bottom one.
-
Looks like you are going with a space theme here. I'm going to break with the pack and say that the purple is more appropriate. Green, is a warm, earthy tone, and it's not really compatible with the cold depths of space.
Of course, if it's contrast you are shooting for, green is the ticket. 8)

Can you replace the green in the first one with the purple in the second?
-
Personally, I prefer to the top (with the greens) more, but I can see what RandyT means about the whole space idea with the purple in the bottom.
But, my votes for green!

There's always this option ;D

Little too much purple on the side art for me, but I like the CPO

The bottem one I like best, with the exception of the white [distracting] also hard to choose without seeing the marqee.
-
First off, let me :applaud: Very nice theme.
I'd go with the top one, green sides.

Ya gonna stencil/paint the taito sides or vinyl over paint? or printed? Taito cab=sweet.

Awesome, thank you, thats a ton of feedback! The green seems to have the clear edge, thats my gut feeling too, and the consensus at work :)

I have the stencil set from gamestencils.com. Spraying with alkyd enamel.

Sorta, kinda. I wasn't trying to genre-fy it really, I just want it to stay consistent with the cab series/era that it came from. I'd like to wind up with something that could sit next to a Jungle Hunt/Space Dungeon/Wild Western/Arkanoid and more or less blend in.
I appreciate the association of the purple with 'space'. Hadn't looked at it like that really. I think I am going to fool around a bit more with the blue/purple and see if anything comes of it. I'll throw a pic of the marquee up too, and maybe get some input there.

Marquee...

The artwork really looks great. Awesome job.

Whats your t-mold options?

Whats your t-mold options?
T-mold is the same as original, leather texture black.

I like the bottom one. I guess i'm in the minority.
What program did you use for drawing?

Adobe Illustrator CS3. Pain in the ass to learn, but once you do, boy you get some options...

And thanks, MGB. I always liked your cab too (that curved marquee is so cool!), great use of restraint on your control panel. Your wiring job makes me feel like a caveman, too.

I'll also chime into say "great design! "
Based on a gallon of "oops" ($7) green paint I got at home depot today and some blue balltops I bought, I might be going for a similar green/blue scheme myself for my next project (that is the scheme I like the best out of the pics you posted, btw).

I really like the purple and green one you just made. But as someone said I think there is abit much of just purple on the sideart. Gonna look awesome though!
