Hi guys,
I've seen around here in a site that I've lost (yeah .... I know .... favorites button) that someone has made a spreedsheet or something that has the controls needed on each game and, most important, the number of simultaneous players. I'm trying to decide the layout for my cp and I'd really like that tool.
Does anybody knows where I can find it, or something similar ?
Thanks

Hmmn, not sure which tool you mean. Joymonkey has some list of vertical and horizontal games that might include this. )p( (Emulaxian) has the SortInfo program that generates this from MAME (with all the MAME inaccuracies intact). SirP and HC are working on a controls.dat file, but it's not released yet.

Sounds a bit like Sortinfo - this is the one I used to find out what I need for my panels. (As descriped unter Controlpanel/Statistics on my Homepage ;) )
It's not 100% accurate, but very helpful.
You can get it from this nice guy!http://hem.passagen.se/robert.palmqvist/index.html (http://hem.passagen.se/robert.palmqvist/index.html)

I know the problem you are talking about... my frontend "jfront" spends a lot of time to try to figure out how many controls based on the listinfo stuff. And mame isn't always accurate.
It talks about 4 players on games with one joystick. This makes it hard to configure the controls automatically.
Some people here are working on ways to map the real controls. This will do more then that.. but will talk about what each button does.
So you are probably waiting on them to finish. And I would guess you will need to wait for a while. They have just started beta'ing the only way to input the data... so they can have many people do the research.

Hi,
I've found the info we need in the arcade museum, but it's quite hard to check them one by one.
No dowloads availabe there ...
Well, I guess I'll wait ...
Thanks anyway ...
