Title: [Solved] Maximus Arcade registration...
Post by: RevDEAD on November 10, 2011, 01:04:51 pm
Hey Delusional,

I can't send Private Messages here, so I'm hoping you'll respond. I purchased Maximus Arcade last Sunday, and haven't heard anything from Mameseer. The official forums are all locked, and every other attempt to contact Mameseer has failed. I noticed that you're active on this forum, so I'm hoping you can help me out.

I really wanted to support Maximus Arcade by purchasing it, but I'm a little wary that I haven't heard anything, and now I feel like my $25 has been stolen.

Please help,

--RevDEAD

You got screwed.  File a complaint with whomever you made the payment with to get your money back and get the program either via an 'alternate' method or use another front end.  For all intents and purposes, the program is dead.

(See other posts in this forums for others that have had similar issues).

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.  I've been swamped with work and haven't had a chance to respond to any messages.  That said...

Unfortunately, Mameseer has stopped support on the project.  (As far as we can all tell).  Last year he stopped responding to any e-mails at mamemeer@maximusarcade.com.  I was a moderator of the forums and one day the forums were "locked" and I have not been able to contact him since.  However, he did mention a couple of months before it happened that he was dealing with "personal family issues".

So to make a long story short.  I gave up trying to contact him.  I was only a moderator of the forums so I do not have access to any registration generation.  I only notified him when someone needed it.  But since I can't contact him any more... Well you know the rest.

However, some people have had success contacting him on www.linkedin.com (http://www.linkedin.com) .  His real name is Lance Endres so you can look him up that way.  Chances are slim that he'll respond but it's worth a shot.

P.S. - People have purchased the $25 code and it's hit or miss as to if they receive it or not.  It may be worth a gamble but it's up to you.  Others have purchased it, received nothing and then successfully contacted him via LinkedIn to receive the code.

I'm sorry I could not help you further.

Someone should sticky a topic/warning on this here just so people know.

Edit: And...now that I look at the actual sub-forum I see you did that. :)

Hehe...

Somebody should get that anon crew up and running with their lasers on that site perhaps?
A sticky here and there might help some, but the problem must be solved at the root don't you think?

I'd hate to get ripped off by something like this. Sucks, cos the frontend looks to be kinda awesome. I never got it working myself..

Hopefully it will find new life someday.

I don't know why he doesn't release the code to others so they can continue work on it. I really like the FE, but just got tired of bugs that will never b fixed. Switched to GameEx now and am very happy with it. It's a little more work to setup, but the support on the forums is amazing. Anyone want to buy my MA registration? ;-)
