November is National Novel Writing Month. The challenge is to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. I just heard about this a few days ago and decided "why not".

I'm a little late getting started, but it's probably still doable.

Here's a google-doc link to my project:

Every 5 minutes it updates from my document.

If you finish, you win.

I'm doing this for the first time this month. Should be fun.

I quasi-participate each year. My work and course load is too heavy and erratic for me to genuinely write to completion. Instead, I write a ridiculous synopsis and then post entertaining exerpts on the forums. And mostly I try to distract people from completing their own novels. Last year nearly a dozen people credited me as being responsible for their failure to finish.

My 'novel' this year:

Quote
Paris. 1934. Jean-Luc Picard is on the run for a crime he cannot recall after an illegal high-stakes board game goes deadly wrong. Pursued through dark, film noire alleys by relentless, cybernetic Capitalists known as the Borg-eoisie, his only clues are an empty bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin, a mysterious Prince William's wife (played by Prince William's wife), and a set of solid-gold, six-sided dice. With the help of the alluring Prince William's wife (played by Prince William's wife), can he unravel this mysterious riddle in time and solve this deadly game of...Shoots and Ladders?

Guest starring Levar Burton as God.

You are an evil genius.

Its anti bullying week next week over here.

So it might be a good idea (for charity) to write a 50 thousand word document against bullying as a group effort at college.

Make it like a chain letter but everyone commits a experience of bullying via written form.

Who should I donate the money to?  NSPCC?

UK Sponsors will be the fun part.   ;D
