Title: What are these on the yoke, and what do they do?

Why do some tube yokes have these (yellow) things(caps?) ???

One's for the horizontal, the other is for the vertical deflection.

Do they bother you for some reason?

No, they don't bother me, I was just curious ;D

Both of them seem to be on horizontal

they are
they tune the final product of the yoke
by tweaking the horz-freq

ed
