Title: Wheels?
Post by: rmusick on November 07, 2011, 05:00:50 pm
Can anyone tell me where I can find wheels for arcade cabinets?  I am wanting to replace the casters and the pedestals for a Mortal Kombat cabinet I am restoring.
Thanks

I wish i had see that sooner.  I bought wheels and a strip of marquee retainer from happ and got hit with $43 in shipping after the fact.  They don't quote shipping at the time of the order.

I'm a fan of those 3" wheels. Here's how i mounted them: http://yaksplat.wordpress.com/2011/11/01/building-the-arcade-cabinet-base/ (http://yaksplat.wordpress.com/2011/11/01/building-the-arcade-cabinet-base/)

I actually went to Harbor Freight/ OSH to buy wheels. I espcially made sure the back wheels were stationary and the front wheels were rotating. So I can maneuver the arcade easily. I reinforced it when a 1/2 plywood square to support the pressure of the cabinet.
( The wheels went on a DK restore project )

For anyone in the UK, try ScrewFix. You'll be surprised how much I buy from them on cab restorations/new builds. Well priced too!!
