Title: How to convert keyboard pushes to button pushes
Post by: djtroyboy on November 07, 2011, 01:34:56 pm
Hello -

I have an arcade cocktail that has controls on 3 of the 4 sides.  I have Mame loaded on it as well as Mala.  A friend of mine (thanks Mark) got all of this set up for me.  We spent some painstaking hours getting the Ultimarc I-Pac configured correctly.  I have since added some Virtual Pinball games to it.  I have been playing those by using the left and right shift keys on my keyboard.  I have since noticed that one of the buttons on my game actually controls the right flipper.  Of course I would like now to configure my pinball buttons on my cocktail cabinet to work with Virtual Pinball.  Is this possible without goofing anything else up?  Do I need to reconfigure the I-Pac again or what are my options?

Thanks in advance for the responses.  I appreciate it!

I'm sure you can just remap the controls for Virtual Pinball the config files, rather than trying ti reconfigure the ipac for two systems.

That would be ideal if I could do that.  I guess I need to spend some time in Virtual Pinball and figure out how to do that.  Thanks again.

If virtual pinball does not allow the remapping of keys you can use other key remampers or change to visual pinball that has lots of tables and the ability to remap the keys.
