Title: CPS 1.5 Repair
Post by: Cisco Kid on September 15, 2003, 07:20:09 pm
Does anyone know of someone (in US) that repairs these boards (bringing them back from the dead after the 2 suicide batteries have gone dead).

I know its possible to bring them back to life and I found the info to do it ... I don't care to do the work myself and just looking for someone thats trustworthy and does excellent work.

Amazing ... there not dead yet ... but its only a matter of time and I want a permanent fix (no more suicide batteries to worry about or having to ship them to Capcom to be fixed)

Thanks in advice for any replies  :)

Well yah there is a few tutorials out there actually to saving your CPS board, here's the best one I've seen.

he's even got a movie on how to do it so you dont screw it up completely, http://cps2shock.retrogames.com/download/CPS2-Rebirth.avi

thanks for the reply .... but thats a CPS 2 system .... not the same thing

I'm talking about a CPS1 with Q sound (gray plastic case ... like the Punisher ... I like to think of them as CPS 1.5 (CPS2 in development) :) )

looking for someone to mod it so it doesn't need the 2 suicide batteries anymore.

getting tired of shipping the thing to Capcom to fix all because of those damn batteries >:(

I could probably do it myself ... but this is one of my favorite boards and I want someone with prior expereice to do the work to be on the safe side.
