I'm interested in buying a 4 player konami cabinet that's on sale locally, but I want to convert it to Mame. One thing I was wondering is how much space there is for a monitor. I have a 20" LCD I want to put in it but I'm afraid the cab isn't wide enough. Does anyone have one of these cabs that could measure it for me?

I used Jakobud's plans for my cab build. Based mine of TMNT, TMNT In Time, and The simpsons (all are the same on his site). They show an inside diameter of 27". Not sure on how close they are to a real cab though.

JoeyJoeJo:
I have a 4-plyr X-Men Cabinet I'll be MAMEing in the near future.
AlienInferno is correct: Inside width of the Konami cabinet is 27 inches.
(You may want to consider using a larger LCD Monitor, if possible.)
Cheers.

And the dimensions will be off on most lcds these days. It's pretty hard to find a 3:4 lcd.
but does the cabinet have a monitor? you might consider using it instead.
