if its usb, load ultimate mortal kombat 3, go to the test menu and control diag and get someone to help you, hold a diagnal on both joysticks and hold all buttons... u will see some dont light up in the test.      the ps2 is where i had issues with ghosting.. each keyboard i used with it had a different effect, couldnt find a keyboard that worked flawless so i pulled the pcb and put in an ipac... works great

Never had any problems with it.  I have had both the PS2 and the USB.  If that is the case with UMK3, I still don't care as I cannot think of a situation where both players would be holding diagonals and all the buttons at the same time.

I'm still using one for my main setup.
I like it for what it is and haven't had any issues with it.

Just don't try to integrate it into a cab.

i used umk3 as an example.. The only game i had an issue with the button limitation is nba hangtime... if both players are runnin in a diagnal and both holding turbo and one is trying to go up for an alley-oop and the other is going to pass the, one of the 2 actions end up not happening. Its no longer an issue for me sicne i run ipac, so its not a big deal. I just wanted to let others know before they buy

I'll go on record as saying I'm really not a fan of them similar to the reasons above; the encoder isn't fantastic in every X-Arcade and the standard buttons/switches are a little cheap. My other gripe from our point of view is that we get so many requests from existing owners to integrate them into a cabinet and it's a battle convincing them they simply don't integrate well and to sell up instead.

However, I'd say they're brilliantly priced, solidly built and actually a decent product, provided they are to be used as a part-time desktop solution only and owners accept they are good as a 'stepping stone' only, before upgrading to a proper arcade cabinet and selling their X-Arcade to fund it.

^^^ This.  Its a great product for what it is IMHO, I think the joysticks are underrated.  I would never integrate it in a cab, but its a solid plug and play perfromer for the first time MAME user

I've actually never had a tank stick. I have had a couple of duos though.
