Title: Any way to imitate a rotary?
Post by: menace on September 15, 2003, 02:58:50 pm
I would like to have 2 rotary joysticks on my next cab and short of buying 2, is there any way to imitate the function of a rotary joystick without having a snk ls-30 on the cab?  I have a cyborg 3d usb joystick with z-axis support but mame32 doesn't recognize those inputs at all.  Suggestions?

Mame should recognize any joystick inputs if the joystick has directX compatable joystick drivers (ie: all of them ;) ).  If you want to use your Z axis to turn the players, you need to remap the "dial" in those games to the left and right twists (and enabled joysticks, of course).
