Title: Problems posting JPGs
Post by: BobA on October 17, 2011, 11:35:07 pm
I have posted hundreds of jpgs in my threads but tonight 1 posted 2 jpgs in 1 post and only 1/2 of the second jpg came through.   I tried putting another jpg in the post incase there was a problem with the encoding but still no go.   The jpgs are way under the posting size limit.

I am at a loss to figure out what is going on.

Thanks

Meh, we're out of storage space. I'll have to clean it up.

:) Looking at it now. I'm torn on what to do - we're using 17 gigs of space for forum attachments. Other forums just delete old attachments, but in this hobby I'm reluctant to do so as we still use pictures/files from years ago.

Would it help if people kicked in a couple bucks to pay for additional storage space?  I agree that deleting old stuff isn't the best option since so many of the examples and attachments are relevant to a lot of readers.

I'd chip in.  I thought the PC hosting this site was  in your house, so all we'd need to do is buy an additional HD right?

Thanks guys, appreciated but not needed :)  This is actually a hosted server I have out on the Internet somewhere. I have enough drive space, but it's the partition that's full. I need to expand the partition which can be done, but I'm going to need SirWoogie to help me do that. Until then, I'm going to temporarily move some of the oldest attachments out to another partition (inaccessible to the forum unfortunately), then when it's expanded move them back.

Should be enough free space now for people to do attachments again.

Who wants to bet that changing the partition crashes the forum?  ;D

You can nuke all the attachments in this thread:

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=115231.0 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=115231.0)

Also, in EE, PnR and a few other places.   >:D
