Post by: AE35 on October 15, 2011, 06:17:55 pm
Hi!

I'm new to logic probing...can anyone tell me how I should check if a
68B09EP is good or not? I can't find any information anywhere :-[

Thanks  :)

Its not that simple. I don't recommend a logic probe to begin with. The pulse trains need to be pulsing...of course....which that will tell you. But....it *won't* tell you if the signals are of valid logic level, clean, etc. You really need a scope to "see" the waveforms and determine for yourself if they are what should be there. You can find obvious faults like stuck lines, but thats about it. A L-probe can have you chasing your tail for days over something a scope (and knowing what to look for) would have made fairly obvious.

Just from my experience....
