Anyone know why Sengoku 3 & KOF2001 were removed? Too new? ???

Yeh, how does that work. If I upgrade to MAME 0.74, I wont be able to play those games (which are pretty good games) and if I dont, I wont be able to play the new releases. Do these dropped games eventually get picked back up again? Do you need to save the 0.73 version of MAME in case these games are not put back again inorder to play them? Does this always happen--will these games be back again? Will one need several versions of MAME at some point to play different roms that have been dropped along the way?
