Title: solved: Is anyone using joytokey with instant sheller?
Post by: Gray_Area on October 14, 2011, 12:40:13 am
Over here, Instant Sheller seems to defeat joytokey/not allow it to load.

Edit: Instant Sheller, per se, wasn't the issue here. It was that Explorer wasn't active, hence no applications could load via 'start-up', etc.

If you're using XP, you should try loading Joytokey as a service. You can use XYNTService (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/xyntservice.aspx) to accomplish this.

I felt you pain , i had to the same problem in the past, they way i solve'it was to create a batch file to load joy to key first then the front end, then use batch to exe converter and use that in instantsheller to start my cab.

Thanks for the link....but, you have to be a member to download the....source code (??).....and I can't find it anywhere else. Developers sometimes seriously elude me.

Yeah, that's not happening.

So I thought I'd load joytokey via Mala's emulator pre-command feature. I assumed the pre-command syntax would be "dir>joytokey.exe", and joytokey does load. However, the game doesn't load/Mala sticks on the loading screen. Exiting/canceling joytokey allows Mala to continue and load the game. ".

What does the syntax need to be?

Download it from here (http://www.mediafire.com/file/73g2cgge3zl56b9/XyntService%20for%20Atomicfe.zip). I set it up with AtomicFe to give you an idea.

I forgot to install it. Now it works, although it takes several seconds to load after Mala displays. Kludgy, but functional. Thank you.

Does anyone know if instant sheller will allow joytokey to load using the Maximus Arcade frontend?  The reason that I ask is that MA has a feature which allows you to launch a program at the same time that an emulator us launched.  Will this feature negate the fact that windows explorer isn't technically active?  I would also like to note that this feature of MA did indeed launch joytokey when I directed my pc to autoboot MA without using the instant sheller program.
