Title: Demolotion Man - missing part question - FOUND
Post by: arzoo on October 12, 2011, 03:23:56 pm
I recently purchased a DM in mostly working condition. One of the switch errors I'm getting is for the center ramp (switch #53). This is the wide metal ramp in the center (under all the wire and plastic ramps) which jumps the ball up a half inch or so into the back lanes. It has 5 red lights underneath visible through slots in the metal ramp. I see the switch on the right side, but there's no metal swinging gate across the ramp to activate the switch - I assume this is missing? Can someone who owns a DM confirm how the switch is activated? I'm not even sure how to find a part number? Maybe post a picture?

Thanks!

I believe this is the part you need.

The description of the part on the site doesn't say what game it is for but it looks just like this one.   Call them to be sure it is for this game.

Yes - I'm pretty sure that's the part. After I posted this thread, I started searching the marcospecialties site for all gate wires, hoping something would look correct. I came across that part and almost fell out of my seat when I checked the number against the DM parts list file (downloaded from ipdb) and it came up - listed as "wire-switch actuator". I also called marco and they confirmed the width measurement - so that's it!

Thanks for the confirmation!
