Title: HLSL in MAME 143

I have recently set up a MAME cab and now this isn't working at all. No settings make any difference to the pic

I am likely missing something stupid (or my MAME pc's gfx card cant do what's needed, is onboard gfx)

Any ideas?

I think you've answered your own question, sounds like your graphics card, you need a card capable of at least Shader model 3 graphics.
