Title: ..won a (broken) sony pvm 2030 :(

Just got a monitor I bought off of ebay, before I ask for a refund and have to ship this mutha back, does anyone know some trouble shooting info I might be missing? I press on.. it doesn't power on. But, when I connect a console to the power out outlet in the back it does give power. Am I missing something here? or is it just plane 'ol broken?

The power outlet in back would be a AC passthru.   This means you can switch the AC on for the unit but since nothing else comes on I suspect the Power Supply in not working.

Well the guy offered me a full refund, so I'm taking it. He doesn't want me to ship it back since it's so heavy.

I might see if I can find someone to fix it, not sure if it's worth it

since the guys giving you a full refund, my guess you could just throw it away if you don't have the skills to troubleshoot it yourself..

Don't just throw out that monitor. If you don't wanna bother with it, get it to someone who does. They're pretty nice....
