i have 50k music videos and 200k mp3 its not that easy thanks :notworthy:

I've used JRiver Media center for ages. It has really good tagging/auto tagging support, cover art etc and can handle large collections. They keep tag info in a database, but also update the actual mp3 directly and then keep things in sync, which is very nice.
Might not be what you want to actually run on the cab (although they're jukebox mode is fully skinnable and does work well with touchscreens).

thanks i will give it a try ! :applaud: :applaud: :notworthy:

Forgot to mention, it's not free, but they do have an eval ver that's good for a while. And it's 50$ if you do buy. A tad high, maybe, but I'm constantly finding more things that it can do (like be remote controlled via a webbrowser or my phone, serve up vids to TIVO, etc, plus if you're into programming, they support a pretty rich plugin environment as well.

i am not worried about money thanks :notworthy:

So basically your saying you want to do it the lazy way and have a program just read the file name vs mp3 tags? Just fix your tags, a few each day and you will have them all done in no time. Also, when you get new music/videos, fix the tags on the spot rather than just hope they are in good shape. As boba alrady says, doesnt matter what program you use, it read the tags and if the tags arnt in order then the program just goes by what it has to work with. Ive had songs recorded by different artist and JR Media found what it thought was the correct cover and tag, but was a different artist than the file name.

If your tag contents are in a specific order in the filename, it's easy enough to automate the process.
-
+1, you'll have to manually do some tags, guaranteed.
JRiver will help and does a pretty good job at automatically retrieving tags, assuming the source mp3 were ripped from original media and at least numbered in track order. But I've had it fail many times as well. I'm guessing most automated systems will fail if they don't get "something" to work with.
What I've found though is that it's really good, UI wise, at readily allowing you to correct those problems with minimum effort. You can actually edit data straight in the grid view, which most mp3 libraries don't seem to do (or didn't the last time I checked, which was a while back).
I ripped a ton of tracks directly off vinyl a while back (these are albums that, as far as I could tell, haven't been reprinted in digital form<ugh>). I used TotalRecorder to do the recording, AudioCleaningLab to fix the vinyl sound issues, and finally JRiver to tag everything. Tagging by far was the least effort.

i have 50k music videos and 200k mp3 its not that easy thanks :notworthy:
its very easy , use media monkey , it gets rid of doubles and errors and tags them any way you set it up
not very good with compilation albums but , the best way i found was to do the a's first making sure everything is fine with that section , then move on to the B section etc , that way it is not so overwhelming , ive done mine a couple of times now , but once they are done you wont regret it , by doing your music in sections you can just do a couple of sections a day as i did and after a week or so they are done
for you music videos , google up a program that will rename them as well , i dont think media monkey does that but it may
