Is it a lost cause now? did we give up on it?

I long for the good ol days when we got cool announcements like "Hey Joe blow saw some cabs by the side of the Krispy Kream down on 5th and main"

I agree... that page needs some real help... It's not just the main page either, the whole site is filled with old information and busted links...
