Title: P & R
Post by: Hoopz on October 06, 2011, 11:25:28 am
I've got access even though I've never requested it.  Is it a change only for me or is that forum open to everyone now?

I have access this morning as well. Maybe things were getting too dull over there?  ;D

Ditto.  That mean I'll use the  :soapbox: icon now?

That didn't take long... :)

Periodically I unhide P&R for a little while to let people take a peek and possibly interest more people  in joining it. It'll be safely hidden again soon.

Does it need to stay hidden?

Yes!  Shut the door quick, before it gets out!  :scared

Does it need to stay hidden?

It is not terribly popular with a significant segment of the site who want to leave politics/religion out of their arcade fun. Fair enough, those who want in just have to ask.

I'm taking this slightly off topic, but this seems like a good time and place to ask: How do I get access to Post Hell? Some of those threads are actually pretty interesting in spite of the craziness. Saint, I sent you a PM about this a couple weeks ago, but never got a response.

YEP!  Lock it up!  And make sure Stingray keeps the fort up so we're safe from that group too.   :D

Before there was P & R, all such debate used to happen in Everything Else. More than once, someone would recruit a friend to join the forum just bolster their argument. Having P & R, and a minimum post count (or is it time on the forum?) stops those kind of shenanigans...

Missed it, sorry nitz. Things in Post Hell are only accessible to moderators because they got nasty. For all intents and purposes they're deleted :)

The suck thing about that is when you're trying to zing someone with their own quote and that thread has gone off to Post Hell. Oh well.

I see, thanks. I always assumed it was another restricted section of the forum like P & R. Sometimes I'll be reading an interesting thread, be away for a few days, and then find it has gone to Post Hell. Guess I better just stay on top of those kinds of threads then. ;)

Not sure why you keep it.  There is barely any activity now that it's "hidden away".  I personally rarely even visit it any more.  When there are only 3 or 4 people who even post in the forum,  what's the point?

It comes and goes with the political cycle which is about to heat up again, and it's still a zinc to keep that stuff out of the rest of the forum by popular demand... Plus *I* like it :)

When you're ready for more than 1 or 2 people bitching back and forth at one another,  feel free to drop by the KLOV P&R forum... there are about 5 or 6 of us there...

The lack of activity is actually a bit weird. You'd think with most western economies rapidly going down the crapper there'd be plenty to talk about.

I'd like back in. Boehner was just re-inducted as speaker.  I'd like to know if this is something you talk about in there or not.

Ugh. I try to stay away from P & R areas. It's bad enough hearing family opinions on Facebook. I like all you guys and want to keep it that way.

So you want to talk about keeping a boehner?  ;D :duckhunt

Generally, I want to find if the points are worded better here than they are on facebook.

Watch CSPAN.  Watch them do their work.  Recently you could see the republicans actively block legislation.  Now that they have both houses we'll see their process, and who jams what, down where.

No kidding.  Apparently some members of my family can't comprehend "I do not want to discuss Ferguson with you anymore."

Heh. I have blocked cousins who I am surprised are shockingly racist.

I'm so glad P&R is private here.  The P&R posts for KLOV show up in my Tap-a-talk feed and I can't stand it.

We can be un-Bearable.  (sorry)

This year even Bears fans have a hard time being around other Bears fans.

:lol In honesty, I get more pleasure hating on vikings fans because I'm in MN. I have a slightly better degree of respect for the Bears than most Packer fans simply because we respect the history of the game.

I hope you guys don't sink down to 2008 Lions level before hitting your stride again. (and I hope the Lions sink back down to 2008 level next season. They need to learn their place.)

Sportsball was only fun when I was in the pool.  It was a pick em from cbssports.com

I haven't followed since then.
