Title: What arcade game is this? Desciption inside

A co-worker said he used to play a game at the arcade.  He said it was similar to StarFox.  But hte catch is that he said you had to neter a sphere and sit down and close a door behind you.

Not sure what year but it sounds liek it is an early polygonal game.

Does anyone recall a game like this?

Sounds a little bit like Galaxy Force II. Wasn't polygonal though.
