I have a 40gb PlayStation 3 the fat one without backwards compatibility. It works fine except I was pulling it off the shelf so I could sell it and I broke the plastic piece in the center of the hdmi port that separates the pins. I'm assuming it could have a new hdmi port installed but component works fine and looks just as good. You only need hdmi if you want 3d. I'm selling because I just don't use it anymore it comes with one controller and the cords. Make me a offer it has to go.

i will buy it for more than whatever pinball is paying......

:dizzy: Yes in the same way that 56k dial up worked fine
We're you picking the PS3 up by the HDMI cord??

have you seen the difference between component & hdmi? I think you might be thinking of composite. Visually component will look the same its just analog vs digital its still 1080p the only reason 3d doesnt work is because the copy protection implemented that requires hdmi.
It unfortunately has the newest firmware. It comes with 1 controller, power cord, and maybe a component cable. I cant seem to find it right now. I do have a composite to show that it is working though.

sorry I have another potential buyers offering $100 on another forum Ill probably take it unless someone offers me more over the weekend.

yeah I didnt really mean for it to be that way. I guess I kind of inadvertently did make it a invisible auction. I wouldnt have taken $50 anyway. I was aiming for around $100 I guess I will reply back to the other guy and tell him ill take his offer since he was the first to make a offer i would be willing to accept.

Just FYI in case anyone cares. The PS3 will only upscale DVD playback when connected via HDMI. Everything else the best you'll get is 480p.
