Title: How to attach custom CPO to wood
Post by: KITTinKC on September 22, 2011, 10:37:59 am
Hey, everyone.  I just got my new CPO from gameongrafix and wanted to get your input on how you attached it to your control panel.  I got the polycarb version without the adhesive on the back.  My wood is currently painted black (if that matters) and this an old MK2 cab.  This is probably a stupid question, but I wanted to get input from you guys first before I go using something like a spray adhesive.

Put some plexi over it?

Why did you go with the non-adhesive back? I have a MK2 cabinet and I bought the adhesive backed.

I'm taking it that you aren't putting plexi over it, so I would sand the painted area you are going to apply it to, just to rough up the surface. I would then use 3M Super 75 or 77(I think that's the stuff? I believe 77 is more extra strength and sets up faster so less time to adjust the placement from what I've been told.) spray adhesive. But that's me. Others are far more skilled and may have other ideas.
