Last night I found that my Dynamo cabinet isn't a 25" cabinet at all, it's a 19".
I would like to use a regular SVGA monitor in this cab, as opposed to an arcade monitor.
Problem is, I don't have a mounting bracket. What are my options here?

What do you mean by mounting brackets?
If you're going to be putting a computer monitor in there, you'll probably want a monitor shelf in there... Or am I misunderstanding what you're trying to ask about?
How about a few more details or pics if you have them.

I already have a mount where the monitor will screw into.
On the monitors I was looking at last night, there was a bracket on it. Several different types. One for mounting on a monitor shelf (like you mentioned) and the one I'm looking for mounted here:

See the chipboard? It screws into the edges.
I'm going to need a (unsure of the name of the thing, but it's sort of like an open cage)
I'll see if I can find a picture of some monitors to clear things up a bit more.

Found a great example! From the Wells Gardner site:

The bracket part. I either need to buy one, or build one.

Hm...
I've got one of those on a broken 19" Monitor...
But it's vertical...
I'll take a look at it tonight & let you know if it would be usable in a horizontal config...
This is the only pic I have of it ATM...
I'll get some more tonight if I think of it.

Then I need to figure out how to retrofit it to an SVGA monitor. I don't have one right now to use on this project, but it wouldn't be hard to get one.
-
is it a normal computer monitor? because if it is a normal computer monitor i can help...

It will be. I don't have one right now. I had been thinking that I needed a 25" monitor, and was going to start saving for a 25" arcade monitor. Since it's only 19", I'd like to use a regular SVGA.

its hard to explain ;)if i could email you some diagrams would that work? ???

go for it.

They have a few frames available for W-G and GO7 tubes, but I don't know if the mounting ears on pc monitor tubes use the TV/arcade tube standard.
The guy who runs the above business is a frequent RGVAC poster and seems pretty helpful. Maybe drop him an email and see if he can help you out.

Yeah, I know Kevin. I'll give him a holler.

Here's a couple more pics of what I've got, but I don't kow that it'll be usefull to you if you're mounting it horizontally...
eh... Just let me know.

Without getting it right in front of me, I'm not sure if I could retrofit it to a monitor.
In fact, let's just forget this thread until I can pick up a monitor for this project. I'm poor, so it'll be a while.
