In your experience, what have you used that was as good as Happ brand controls ?
I bet GGG is good, but I haven't tried their controls.
I tried micro-switches from X-Arcade and they were junk - noisy and died after a month. Since then I use Happ Cherry switches only.
I'm not sure if Happ is easily available in Australia and such, I am assuming there is another brand that is super good ?
I've also heard Japan has their own brands that are good.
Thanks :)

Why not just use happ? There stuff is cheap and proven.I think happ use E switches now. All my new stuff has em.

Yupper I love Happ :)
I was just curious if y'all are aware of other manufacturers that build to such high standards.
I am not sure if Happ is so easy to come by in Australia and abroad.
And I could have sworn I heard of a high quality Japanese manufacturer. I don't think people in Japan are ordering Happ controls from America LOL
I also thought I heard GGG is not shipping internationally, so those guys need an alternate to the KeyWiz. But I guess Ultimarc is UK based.
But yes indeed, Happ! They last like forever :)

As far as i know anything from Ultimarc is the ballz. Obviously the other big one is sanwa if you like there style.

It all depends on what you are looking for. My HRAP EX-SE has a Seimitsu stick and buttons in it, and I love it, but I went with a Happ 4-way for my Pac cab. But at this point I think we've mentioned the big names.

Thanks for chiming in fellas :)

If you're looking for an international equivalent, I'd guess IL would be one.

I bought from www.arcadeemulator.net (http://www.arcadeemulator.net) and I live in New Zealand. They have tons of Happ stuff and I thought the price of shipping was pretty reasonable, good service too. He's a local to the BYOAC forums, I think he goes by the name Divemaster.
With the strong Aussie dollar at the moment you should be able to get an awesome deal.

dfmaverick What does IL stand for ?
GreenBoy Cheers! I am in Maine USA at the moment, I'd like to go to Australia though, I'd ride the kangaroos around! The reason I asked was because I was curious what builders across the globe are using, I couldn't imagine Happ was supplying the entire planet :)

sanwa all the way.

IL stands for Industry Lorenzo. I'm not sure they're around anymore, but IL sticks and buttons are excellent.
For years Happ used IL as their supplier of sticks and buttons. Then they moved production to China. There was a noticeable decrease in quality from then on.
A lot of people, especially those who played mostly in the late 90s refer to any style of American controls as "Happ" but they really came from all over.
If you turn your buttons and joystick over and see the little IL logo on the bottom then you have the mark of quality.
And of course, Sanwa and Seimitsu are excellent in their own right.

Thanks for the information all :)
